Spring Breeeeakkkkk!

Spring Break is here and we've closed shop for the week to honor the creative process and center wellness. This time away embodies one of our key business practices, and yes, it is a practice.

We actively work to untangle from the sense of urgency that often plagues our businesses (and lives!). Especially in the service industry where our availability, turn around time and "on-ness" can become enmeshed with our worth, value and commitment to our service.

It is a practice to prioritize rest, time with friends and family, time in nature, and whatever else may support a deepening with our creative energies and wellness.

This practice isn't something we relegate only to vacations, but we are keenly aware of the difference a "week away" can make, and can't wait to see you on the other side of this break.

If you are interested in exploring this more with us, we invite you to join us at our upcoming summer retreat: Lead with Questions. This 4-day, 3-night experience will be held at Raven Crest Retreat Center in Upstate New York on July 13-16th 2023, and will be a potent, intimate container to allow for ample connection time and rest.

We're also planning a couple local events in Troy, NY and Norwalk, CT over the next few months. We’d love to see you there!

We are hosting a Lead with Questions retreat at the intersection of leadership, connection, critical inquiry, dreaming, and rest. It will be taking place this July 13th to 16th at Raven Crest in Berne, New York.

This is about flipping the script on the dominant notion of leaders as "those with the answers." We affirm those who ask, hold, and live into the questions as our guides into the present and future. During the retreat, you will have the opportunity to lay down the many leading roles you hold, so you may lovingly be with yourself from a place of choice and curiosity.

For four days and three nights, we will explore the power of questions to transform ourselves and our industries, and build skills to become transformative questioners.

Our intention is to hold an expansive and visionary space about business, leadership, and our capacity to shape change together. We will luxuriate in time and space, and be given ample room and full permission to lean into our biggest (and smallest) questions - with no answers required.

What happens when you ask questions and use affirmations to help divine and discover the answers? Join us to find out!

Questions have the potential to transform our internal worlds, inviting us to move deeper toward the truth, expand our possibilities, and enrich our relations, with ourselves and others. Affirmations are great tools for shifting our energy, cultivating insight, and strengthening our capacity for self-empowerment.

Join Casey and Sadee Brathwaite, Priestess of Maåt and Creator of 30 Days of Affirmation Deck, as we hold space to ask deep questions and explore a cauldron of possibilities. Using our intuition, play, and hands-on guided practice with the Questions to Hold and 30 Days of Affirmation decks, we may find all the right questions and absolutely no wrong answers.

Building relationships, asking questions, establishing trust and being efficient are at the core of business growth. Join Georgette Pascale, founder of G. and Cait Fitzpatrick, Partner at BWB in conversation around entrepreneurship.

Our intention is to spend time in honest reflection and conversation around growth and social media. We will discuss social media as an empowered choice, a strategic tool, and gain clarity around this complex area of our lives and businesses.

We often say, “social media is a tool, a hammer is also a tool, but a hammer alone does not build your house. The same is true for your business." We’ll unpack this further, and talk about some of the topics we talk about on the reg:

  • Is social media right for you? What do you appreciate and enjoy about social media?

  • What associations come up when you think of social media and your work/business?

  • Are you asking the right questions for growth? Are you trying other tactics to promote yourself?

You will leave with many new ideas about your relationship to social media, growing your business authentically, storytelling, and leaning into asking questions to guide you.

This past week, we attended a constructive listening training session with the Luna Jimenez Institute for Social Transformation.

In addition to all the wonderful people we met and tools we learned, we practiced taking eye breaks and body breaks throughout the workshop, and we gotta' say: it was transformative.

Closing our eyes for a few moments during an onscreen session, and getting up to move made such a difference. We love that practice and learned a lot of really useful listening skills during the workshop.
