Fall Equinox is here. It is a time to pause and celebrate summer's abundance, and plant the seeds for next Spring. We are reflecting, creating, and preparing.
BWB also recently participated in a lunch and long exhale with Sarah J from Slō Breathworks. Sarah lead us through an Autumn Equinox Flow to drop into our bodies, let go of emotions, expectations, “shoulds,” and worries, and has generously offered to share this session with YOU, too! Don't forget the BWB Midwifery Experience is kicking off in two weeks on Wednesday, October 5th. We're so ready to map out revolutionary 2023 plans with you all. We will be holding space for discussion and discovery, and DOING THE WORK. At BWB, process and product are not mutually exclusive. The transformation will be made tangible in the form of a fleshed out growth plan.

THE MIDWIFERY EXPERIENCE
Building a values-aligned business isn’t chosen because it’s easy, it’s chosen because it’s the right—and smart—thing to do.
There can be many challenges: maintaining momentum, knowing where/what to prioritize, composting oppressive norms, and ditching old patterns. It can be easy to get caught with our head down, or on auto-pilot just trying to keep up. But if we really want to do this shit differently, we need to keep our head up and eyes on the prize.

THE GIFT OF BREATH
Breathwork is a simple, powerful way to do the inner work to ground our actions in trust and hope. It is the most human of human things we can uphold. It is the first action we take and the final homage. Connecting with the breath is active yet beautifully intimate at once.
The Autumn Equinox Flow has been designed to help you surrender to what is so you can show up as you want to be. You will be called to visualize the steadiness of a tree and use your breath to connect to your inner strength by letting go. It is a short flow that can be engaged in any 10-minute break to radically change your day.
Techniques used: breath awareness, nostril breathing, and pushed lip breathing. As always, listen to your body. If you feel lightheaded or dizzy, stop the flow. Follow Sarah on Instagram (@slowbreathworks) for more amazing advice on how to slow down, and breathe together!
