The Midwifery Experience

Guess what? Casey is back from maternity leave and ohhhhhh how we have missed her! We are celebrating the time she has spent with her family this summer, and her return this August.

"As a mom of two now, I feel more connected than ever to the ways in which creation and change requires us to go further inward than we thought imaginable in order to birth something new. There is so much in this world right that is asking for us to reimagine it, and I am so looking forward to returning and being alongside the journey with you." - CC

As we welcome her back, we are excited to introduce our new package: The Midwifery Experience, a feminist business workshop series.

Create a brand that centers impact, stays aware of itself, and has the tools to apply feminist principles in branding and marketing.

Sessions include:

  • Session 1: Putting identity into brand identity work

  • Session 2: Unpacking to package up

  • Session 3: Business relationship clinic

  • Session 4: Community and impact

  • Session 5: Application

In Emergent Strategy, adrienne maree brown notes that: “Art is not neutral. It either upholds or disrupts the status quo, advancing or regressing justice.”

These workshops are designed to take a critical look at our brand's image, words, and marketing efforts as active areas for disrupting the norm, and maintaining meaningful market presence. We'll dive deep together to investigate the conscious, and unconscious, ways our brands are showing up in the world, and map strategic pathways to further integrate our vision for change and impact. This experience is equally valuable for established and emerging brands.

Space is limited for fall bookings - so let's get to it! Click the button below for the full details.

Putting Identity into Brand Identity

In spring 2020, we recorded our initial Brand Awareness series - a 4-part conversation with anti-racist educator, Weeze Doran, on topics such as dismantling professionalism and decolonizing the feminine identity. This series and its supplemental worksheets raise awareness and open up critical thinking about our brands through the lenses of equity, identity, and intersectionality.

In honor of the release of The Midwifery Experience, AND as we begin expanding our Brand Awareness series via additional conversations, topics, and perspectives (spoiler alert: there may be a BWB podcast in the works!), we are excited to share our first conversation with Weeze focused on putting identity work into brand identity.

BWB client, Clare Monteau, shares about her experience working with BWB.

We are beyond thankful that business is also family.

Oh how sweet it is to be reunited! After two+ months with Casey on maternity leave, a beloved group of BWB clients and creative team members got together to celebrate life amidst it all. Jumbo marshmallows, fireflies, jewel adorning and body art, new baby cuddles, and the most delicious food and company we could ask for.

Thank you for bringing the joy and beauty.
