B•W•B ISSUE NO. 87: After Golden Hour: We’re Heading to Chicago!
GOLDEN HOUR
What happens when a group of women leaders gathers with no agenda beyond connection, curiosity, and a willingness to ask honest questions?
That was the spirit of our inaugural Golden Hour BWB + Coray Kitchen networking event: Small Business, Big Questions. And by every measure, it delivered.
Set on the patio at Coray Kitchen, the evening brought together an exceptional group of women for what quickly became more than a networking event. It felt like the early formation of something deeper. A “secret society,” as one attendee described it. Not exclusive, but intentional, rooted in trust, shared experience, and a sense that we’re building something meaningful together.
There were no panels, no pitches. Simply thoughtful prompts and open dialogue about the real questions behind running and growing a business. Questions about sustainability. Boundaries. Mentorship. What success actually feels like. While no one left with all the answers, many left with something more valuable: perspective, clarity, and the reminder that they’re not navigating this alone.
THE POWER OF PROXIMITY
One of the most energizing takeaways from the evening was just how much collective wisdom exists within a 20-mile radius.
We saw it in conversations that lingered long after sunset as introductions quickly turned into ideas. All with the simple, but powerful, realization that
when one of us rises, all of us rise.
From the thoughtfully curated wine tasting (thank you, Judie!) to the warm hospitality of Coray Kitchen, and the DUCK DUCK SOAP gifts, every detail contributed to an atmosphere that felt elevated and easy.
CARRYING IT FORWARD
We are excited to continue hosting more of these gatherings in the future. In fact, we’re taking our Golden Hours on the road, partnering with restaurants in other cities to bring this experience to new communities.
Our next stop is Chicago on Thursday, June 4th, in collaboration with our friends Pete and Polly at bungalow by middle brow. We are gathering a group of 20 conscious business leaders for deep discussion and delicious pizza + drinks.
